Erldunda – Overview & Things to See and Do
Overview:
Erldunda promotes itself, as a superior roadhouse, offering alternative accommodation for visitors to Uluru. Although located 253 km from Uluru a few travelers prefer to save money in accommodation and make the 500km round trip especially if only intending to spend the day in the Uluru National Park and then continue their journey to Alice or Adelaide.
Located where the Stuart Highway and the Lasseter Highway meet, Erldunda is 200 km from Alice Springs, 1683 km from Darwin and 1337 km from Adelaide.
It has 100 powered caravan sites, 54 motel units and 34 budget units, a 100 seat restaurant and a wide range of additional facilities. They have expanded their facilities with a permanent exhibition from the Brisbane Expo and an excellent swimming pool. They also have an attractive tavern and petrol and diesel which is considerably cheaper than that at Yulara.
The site of Erldunda Motel Caravan Park is 20 hectares which have been carved off the edge of Erldunda Station
