Suggested Itinerary
Day 1: Around Broome
Pick up your campervan before heading out to one of Broome's supermarkets to get supplies. Spend the rest of the day unwinding and exploring the local highlights Broome has to offer. Marvel at the sweeping white beaches, rich red outcrops and blazing turquoise water of Broome’s spectacular coastline including stunning Cable Beach. Depending on your interests, spend the afternoon learning about Broome’s rich pearling history and consider doing a sunset camel ride to cap off a great day (extra cost).

Day 2: Broome to Bell Gorge
Begin your Kimberley adventure by heading out to Derby and the Gibb River Road. An adventurous day exploring the famous gorges of the West Kimberley. Explore at your own pace and marvel at the natural landforms such as Windjana Gorge (an ancient underwater reef that is now above ground) Tunnel Creek (a tunnel with knee to waist high water depending on time of year so bathers and torch required) before heading to camp at Bell Gorge (Silent Grove).

Day 3: Bell Gorge to Mornington
A relaxing morning exploring Bell Gorge (one of the most spectacular gorges in the Kimberley) before heading into Mornington Wilderness Sanctuary. The remote drive into Mornington will take you into the heart of the Kimberley. Mornington is owned and operated by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy and visitors are managed to limit the numbers The scenery and gorges are unforgettable. The facilities and staff make it a must visit destination. In addition to great campground facilities there is also a licensed bar.

Day 4: Around Mornington
A full day to explore the simply stunning Mornington Wilderness Park. Spend the day exploring the beautiful gorges around Mornington on the Fitzroy River. Explore Dimond Gorge with its spectacular towering cliffs and awe inspiring colours (canoe hire extra cost option). Sir John Gorge offers swimming in stunning surrounds and its remoteness is something to experience. Access to Sir John Gorge is via a moderately easy walk but for enthusiastic and well prepared walkers you have the option of walking along the gorge itself. Beautiful sunsets are a highlight of Sir John Gorge.

Day 5: Mornington to Manning Gorge
Departing Mornington & returning to the Gibb River Rd, today is all about choosing which of the stunning gorges you will spend your day exploring or swimming at. The gorges between the Mornington turnoff and Manning Gorge offer striking scenery, picturesque waterfalls and beautiful plunge pools. It is fair to say that the Kimberley's reputation is in part due to the stunning gorges along this section of the Gibb River Road.

Day 6: Manning Gorge to Home Valley
Spend the morning walking up to Manning Gorge before continuing your journey down the Gibb River Road. The section between Manning Gorge and El Questro has some stunning scenery but only a couple of attractions linked to Home Valley Station so just relax and enjoy the scenery. On arrival into Home Valley Station spend the rest of the day exploring the property on one of the self guided walks or on horse back. Either option provides a wonderful experience overlooking the cockburn ranges especially at sunset.

Day 7: Home Valley Station to El Questro Station
Today say goodbye to Home Valley Station with a short drive along the Gibb River Road to El Questro. Along the way you will cross the mighty Pentecost river (be careful) before arriving into El Questro the world famous 1 million acres cattle station that has been made into a wilderness park. Opportunities abound to enjoy spectacular scenery, swim, bush walk or take a cruise down Chamberlain Gorge.

Day 8: Around El Questro Station
Today is all about exploring the awesome attractions and things to do at El Questro Station. In addition to the picturesque lookouts and gorges on the property, there are all sorts of station activities including flights, heli-fishing, gorge cruises and horseback riding.

Day 9: El Questro to Kununurra (or Lake Argyle)
Today has you departing El Questro and heading towards Kununurra (or Lake Argyle). As you begin to leave El Questro stop and explore Emma Gorge. Emma Gorge is still part of El Questro and is one of the jewels of the property. Depending on your interests you have the choice to spend the night in Kununurra or further along to Lake Argyle. Both are great options and depends on your personal preference and how you want to spend Day 10.

Day 10: Around Kununurra (or Lake Argyle)
A full day to relax and explore around Kununurra or Lake Argyle. Depending on your interests make it a relaxing day or participate in one of the highly rated tours. If you are based in Kununurra, choose between the combination Lake Argyle & Ord River Cruise, the day trip to the Mitchell Falls or visit the Argyle Diamond Mine. If you have chosen to stay at Lake Argyle then spend the day relaxing and self discovering this enormous lake or explore the captivating scenery via one of the available cruises or heli flight.

Day 11: Kununurra to Bungle Bungles
Today has you driving down the Great Northern Highway into Purnululu National Park. The wild assortment of gorges, canyons and towering rocky domes at the Bungle Bungles are arguably Australia’s most spectacular natural formations. Its landscape, geology and cultural heritage have seen it given World Heritage status. The drive into the Park is an attraction in itself. Several open creek and river crossings and inspiring scenery make this a great adventure (dont worry - previous 4WD experience not required). On arrival in the Bungles set up camp and decide which of the breathtaking natural formations you will explore first.

Day 12: Around Bungle Bungles
A full day to relax and explore the beauty of the Bungles that cannot be described in words. A short drive to the start of the walk to Cathedral Gorge gets you up close to the widely photographed beehive domes whilst the enormous size of the rocky outcrops will astound. Later in the day embrace the beauty of the massive rocky outcrops at Echidna Chasm, Homestead Gorge & Mini Palms Gorge. These will give you a very different aspect on the Bungles.

Day 13: Bungle Bungles to Fitzroy Crossing
Today is a long days driving to Fitzroy Crossing as you begin your journey back to Broome, Break up the drive with a stop at Halls Creek and the nearby attractions including China Wall & Palm Springs before continuing your journey along the Great Northern Highway. Today has you arriving and camping in Fitzroy Crossing.

Day 14: Fitzroy Crossing to Broome
An early morning start as you drive up to explore Geikie Gorge. Choose from the available walks or guided cruise. Either way you will experience a great example of the wonders of the Kimberley. You will then travel the 400km from Fitzroy Crossing back to Broome bringing your Kimberley adventure to an end. Package price is based on vehicle being returned before 4pm.

Accommodation Upgrade
Ask us to add accommodation to your package to make your holiday a campervan accommodation combination package. Add accommodation either at the start or finish or during the trip to break up the camping with some luxury.
Add Cape Leveque
Let us know if you would like to add an extra two days to this package so you can spend time at Cape Leveque (north of Broome). 2 Days in Cape Leveque is a great way to end your Kimberley Adventure. This would make it a 16 day package.
